Islamabad: The capital city’s land records are expected to largely computerised within the next six months, according to a news source. Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan was briefed about this process in a meeting held on Thursday with city managers.

These officials told the PM about the progress on projects related to development, health, education, law and order, among other sectors. Planning Minister Asad Umar, Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood, Inspector General of Police Amir Zulfiqar Khan, Chief Commissioner and CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on CDA Affairs Ali Nawaz Awan, and MNA Raja Khurram Nawaz were all present on the occasion.

The chief commissioner briefed the PM about the ongoing projects of the capital administration and the Capital Development Authority (CDA). The PM was also told that a biometric system had been introduced to make the land transfers process easier. He stated that Islamabad should be made into a model city for all other cities in Pakistan to follow when it comes to development and all other factors.
