The project will reportedly be executed by experts from the Punjab Archaeology Department, who will decorate it with antique artefacts retrieved from the city. Further, the initiative will also seek to establish a public library, an art gallery, and a coffee room facility as part of its developmental spree.
Under the Explore Gujrat programme, 30 historical sites in the three tehsils of the district have been selected for restoration. The rehabilitation work of the Ram Pyari Mahal, however, would be prioritised; since the authorities concerned have already completed a lot of work on it.
