Taxila: Deputy Commissioner Ali Anan Qamar on Tuesday informed the District Development Committee (DDC) that funds worth PKR 10 billion had been allocated for various development projects in Attock; including the construction of roads and dams in the area, a news source reported.

The DDC meeting was chaired by Punjab Minister for Revenue (rtd) Col Mohammad Anwar and was attended by senior officials, including MNA (rtd) Major Tahir Sadiq, and MPA Jamshaid Altaf, among others.

Commissioner Qamar revealed that PKR 4.8 billion has been allocated for 21 road projects, while the government has set aside PKR 1,691.509 million for public health schemes, PKR 922.280 million for 19 construction projects, and PKR 20.684 million for a local government scheme.

The deputy commissioner further informed the meeting that PKR 2,186.594 million had been earmarked for the construction of four small dams, along with PKR 283.965 million for the development of sports facilities, PKR 40 million for the construction and development of mines, and PKR 130 million for the execution of various schemes aimed at providing municipal services in the district.

Punjab Minister for Revenue (rtd) Col Mohammad Anwar also addressed the meeting and the government departments concerned, emphasising the need for transparency in the awarding of projects, the use of quality materials in construction, and the timely completion of each venture.
