Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has announced its decision to collect plot maintenance charges in FDA City, a news source reported. In its governing body meeting, the FDA also announced to cancel the plot allotments of owners who have not cleared their dues.

Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Adil Pervaiz Gujjar presided over a meeting to this effect. MPA Mian Waris Aziz, FDA Director-General Sohail Khawaja, and other officials concerned were all present on the occasion.

The FDA Governing Body further announced its decision to:
•Issue ownership clearance certificates to developers of private housing schemes
•Set up an executive centre that will manage the operations of FDA City plot transfers and map approvals
•Register the real estate developers as per their categorisation to improve related operations at their respective housing projects
•Set FDA allowance at 50% of the basic salary of the FDA and Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) employees

The meeting members also agreed to the proposal of bringing in private housing schemes in WASA’s billing network by installing water metres in these colonies.
