Faisalabad: Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development & Management Company (FIEDMC) Chairman Kashif Ashfaq recently announced the decision to set up an expo centre adjacent to the Allama Iqbal Industrial City (M3) — with the venue aimed at helping the city’s industrialists to exhibit their goods to the public, according to news sources.

The proposed expo centre would span over 50 acres of land that has been provided by the FIEDMC. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Commerce will provide the funds for constructing the project.
For the matters pertaining to the new expo centre, FIEDMC will sign an agreement with the management company of the Lahore Expo Centre.

Additionally, the authorities concerned will also set up a shopping mall within M3 for attracting national and international brands to establish their outlets. The idea is based on the trend popular in Europe, and other regions of the world, where large-scale outlet malls are set up away from populated areas. These outlets sell the factory leftover items at reduced prices. Similarly, the public also has access to international-quality goods at low prices.
