Gujranwala: The construction and restoration of 24 roads in Gujranwala under the Naya Pakistan Manzilen Asaan programme is nearing completion – a news source reported.

The project estimated to cost PKR 1.82 billion will interlink the remote rural areas, urban cities and trade points of the Gujranwala district. In total, these roads will cover an area of nearly 145 kilometres.
According to details, in Highways Circle One, 14 roads (covering 82.47 kilometres) will be restored at an estimated cost of PKR 1,058.040 million. These include five roads in Gujranwala covering 32.52 kilometres, which will be restored at the cost of PKR 444.142 million. Similarly, roads in Gujrat (covering 28.20 kilometres) will be restored at the cost of PKR 330.208 million; and 4 roads in Mandi Bahauddin covering 21.75 kilometres will be restored with PKR 283.690 million.

Under the plan, two roads in Highways Circle One; four roads in Hafizabad, three in Sialkot, and three in Narowal will be constructed at a cost of PKR 765 million.
