Multan: The divisional administration has decided to take action against commercial buildings established without the payment of the requisite conversion fee – a news source reported. Multan Commissioner Shan-ul-Haq expressed his views on the matter during a meeting of the District Planning & Design Committee.
He directed the officials concerned to establish a committee for regulating and taking action against the establishment of schools in residential areas. He directed the relevant members to visit the schools and areas themselves for the preparation of the reports.
The establishment of schools in residential areas causes traffic problems for the residents of these areas. He also stressed on the need to work out other solutions for addressing traffic issues in the city. He further directed the relevant officials to prohibit commercial activities in residential areas after a thorough investigation of the area.
