Inflation touches 56 month high in Feb. This will have direct bearing on the cost of RRR, which BTW, I do not see starting in the period of this most incompetent govt.

Moving with slow pace but at least its moving

The challenge is not the design, but finding Rs.6 bn for land acquisition.
The RRR seems to be started next year not this year, lingering and lingering, may be delaying tactics, once the process is completed they repeat it
O bahi loog yeh rwp ring road ka khayalai pulao or ktnay saal tak pakta rahy ga .
bidding process again ho ga

Abdul Qayyum brother, do the see the RRR starting anytime soon?
Is it a good time to invest in BT Ph 8 and Dha 3?
https://www.zameen.com/news/rda-to-issue-new-tenders-for-rrr.html
Isloo 1 sahib, i gotta tell you a story but gotta ask me WHAT
WHAT SIR?
This project also is in the dustbin now
YC, do you have any new informarion about RRR that we don't know.
We know that this utterly incompetent govt, which is taking the whole country down has no money to fund RRR or Islamabad highway or Margala road. So I do not see anything moving as long as these jokers are at the helm.
Look at what they did to Peshawar BRT, the whole project is in shambles with wrong design of track sizes and underpasses those had to be redone and cost escalated more than two-fold.
Ilyas, i m waiting for the story bro.
Isloo 1 sahib, when i was kid… i had three ball bearings… In those days one would make a machine(car) by fixing wood plank to it…so it was a fun in our days… but there was no one to help me make that car or machine with those ball bearings… one day my mamo’s friend from swat visited our village and he promised to make ball bearings vehicle for me and took away my ball bearings with him… and never came back… since that day i have been thinking from time to time " How beautiful would have been that ball bearings vehicle"… I hope you would realise the reason behind the story…
LOL, interesting story, although I feel sorry for the young Ilyas who would have kept his hope alive for many months believing that one day that person would return with a shining ball bearing cart that you will ride the whole day.
But I don't feel sorry for the ones who quarrel with you when you tell them that THEIR BALL BEARINGS ARE STOLEN.!!!
Isloo 1 sahib, For Allah sake.... do not say anything about the gates..... it was rumour......
As i understand construction and mega projects design and implementation to some extent, BRT was the only wrong decision taken by my immi in OURS KPK......
Isloo 1 sahib, who had started Margalla project? Who had given the concept of RRR in 1992?
Do not expect us too much in seven months...... immi would address all your concerns step by step In Sha Allah......
Since I did not confirm the facts, so let me take back my statement on wrong gates. I will edit my post. But this still doesn't absolve your Imm-the-Dim of incompetency charges and blatant lies he has been telling.
Ooooops, I just promised Imtiaz on another thread that I will remain apolitical.

BRT Peshawar:
Just wanted to add here to avoid misconception about BRT Project....the comparion is not based on political affiliations.
I have seen Lahore metro, Rwp/Isb metro both are on subsidy, and not covering overall city but only may be 5% hardly specially Rwp/isd metro, to fill these metro buses, they discontinued all other local transport and not people have to travel only in metro still its in loss.
While BRT Peshawar, there are some technical faults but not as our negative media is partying. There are delays and kpk govt should not commit what they are not able to deliver in time but the track is extended, the brt will cover all the major areas of city which will help people reach around every part of city easily and the best part is that it has no subsidy.
Nasir bhai, with due respect, the below statement
"Only may be 5% hardly specially Rwp/isd metro, to fill these metro buses"
I am not in favor or against the Metros but above statement is factually incorrect that even looking at the route map clearly reveals mis-information and nothing more.
Below is the map:
https://a.disquscdn.com/uploads/mediaembed/images/833/9016/original.jpg
RWP-ISB has one primary route from Saddar to Pak-Secretariat, the other routes join this route at different points. Metro runs from Saddar (edge of RWP) to Pak Secretariat (end of ISB) and runs through the central part of city to get from RWP to ISB, that has been the route right from the start. Moreover its extension to new ISB Airport is also at finishing stages.

Regarding the local transportation.
Discontinuation of local transport is not true because I live in the area and Route 1 (Saddar to Pak-Secretariat) is operational for local transport but with less vehicles. Local transport and jobs must be supported but local transporters prior to Metro. Became a mafia who used to regularly.
- Misbehave with travelers regardless of age or gender discrimination
- Made a mess out of transportation and traffic flow.
- Use to charge as they liked
- Promise you to take you to your destination but in the mid stop and ask you to get down as they no longer want to complete the route because they will vacate the vehicle mid way, fill that again to get more money for the remaining part of route (they divided the route into two sub-routes, clearly against the laws)
- Believe me people who are frequent travelers see that as night mare time to travel on the local transport.
Of-course there are and there will be many issues with the RWP/ISB metro, despite the fact that it has significantly uplifted and beautified the mainstream area (adjoining the Metro track) with decent public transport and traffic issues.
Yes subsidy must not be provided beyond a specific period and mismanagement has been our biggest national problem. In addition to the Big Statements to curse Metro projects, KP govt. decided to get one for Peshawar too.Problems with Peshawar BRT are:
- First govt categorically said it will not pursue BRT and its not a project worthwhile. Soon it realized that fortunately or unfortunately, for votes such projects matter. Then KP govt. decided to go ahead with that in a haste and we can see each passing day a new blunder emerges.
- Very falsified statements on budget required that has increased by manifolds and good part of that is to cover up the mismanagement.
- One of the guy in Govt. used to call Metro project as 'Jungla Buses' and now he is an advocate for such Jungla Buss in KP.
People do deserve respectable and convenient transportation but it no other than the KP govt. who has created a mess out of this project. Believe me, it cant be run without subsidy, once the infrastructure development, operations etc. are covered. whoever is saying no subsidy is not true: Simply add
(Development Cost + Operational Cost)/Total Passenger x Route Fare
the numbers don't add up for No subsidy.
These are same guys who first cursed metro and then publicly challenged that they can get the project operatinal in 8bn PKR.
See for yourself, here are the guys themselves with no clue:
