Bad days would become worse & worse but here we are after $ rates ?
We must prepare for the situation which is unimaginable!
But we cannot afford what America wants …if we do that shall be a recipe of disaster…
This $ may reach 500 or even more & even if London bhagora sits , he could never bring back $ unless he admits some filthy conditions from the Harami USA & the rich mafia, which he has been already proving to do by his illicit relations with all who wants Pak to get crippled …

Oh man, some of us are doing it just for the sake of it. We just want to prove an argument here.

Let’s see what we can do if dollar is really such an issue.

We all know Pakistan is in dire need of foreign direct investment and we also know that the government wants to promote activity in the real estate and construction sector.

What if we invest in Pakistan for Pakistan, all the money sent home from overseas through Roshan Digital Account will do good to the country.

The rightists can perhaps focus on doing their jobs of being fair representatives of the market and the utopians can send money home.

Let this forum be the place to do it, like how we started, what do say, guys?

Remittances and foreign reserves are already all time high, problem is things are not being managed properly. Global recession occurred in 2008 as well but Pakistan was not hit. That is the job of government to to mitigate such global problems.

Overseas do it, specifically the ones having families based in PAK and huge sums inflows. The system needs a structural reform, else just sending in doesn’t work the way it should to stimulate the economic activities.

Examples:

• Hot Money Raza Baqir has been a disaster right from the go. He pursued the Hot Money (borrow as much dollars as possible) to try to stabilise PKR by offering high interest rate. Once done, economic mismanagement didn’t made that count and when interest rate dropped back all those USDs collected with Hot Money strategy flew out because higher interest were earned.

• Banking Fee: Helping economy to keep moving on is the key to encourage people to put their savings in banks. However banks with no soild plan at greedy as hell and charge lots on transactions fees, withdrawals, ATM switch and recently added transaction free on IBFTs. No one would prefer such rip-off knowing that banks earn on their money and than charge them for keeping their money in the banks!

• Incentives for Elites Roshan Digitals and other schemes have offered incentives to those that send big amounts. Biggest collective share of inflowing remmitances is from Expats in Gulf states. Most of them are in low paying jobs so individually they send less but collectively a massive amount. There is no invesntive for them, instead they have to pay Tax on their personal mobile devices when they visit PAK even for a month or so.

Increased remittances is primarily calculated in PKR so when the USD was 110, 1 inflowed USD was counter as 110 flown in, now when it’s 175, 1 inflowed USD is counted as 175. The problem is our export bill and trade deficit grows big time.

PKR, unfortunately loosing on daily basis as the bottleneck is IMF deal to receive new tranche of loan and when the talks don’t conclude market gets nervous and PKR takes a hit. IMF has also called for better audit and transparency of Defense Budget bit PKA is not very keen ok it, so such disagreements lead to deadlocks.

Economy needs structural reforms much, else more and more inflown dollars will not help till the trade deficit keeps ballooning up!

Here is my take:

• Every Bank Received Remittance has unique Transaction ID and if it’s received as Cash Pick Up or Account Deposit it will be credited to an individual (CNIC or CNIC + Account Number). Based on amount let’s say 100 USD/375 SAR/360 AED or whatever X amount the family of sender can get Tax Rebates or Decreased Govt. Fees whichever benefits state and individuals most.

• Decrease Transaction Processing Time. Some Banks do it deliberately to keep that money for more time for utilisation and for sure fair banking charges rather than rip-off.

Indirectly relevant. Tax on Expats mobile devices while visiting PAK is a massive unjust even if it’s a single device. Yes more than 1 or 2 devices may fall under that category but a taxed personal devices whose tax already paid in other country and again paying Tax in PAK is a disgrace to those expats that send in their blood and sweat each month to PAK and they get this.

As per the established researched data, 95% of tax amount comes from withholding tax & FBR is collecting only the rest 5%.
The legitimate question is whether or not FBR is actually required?.
See their salaries, facilities & post job services from the state & their share in tax collection is just 5%.
Pakistan can be transformed in a real welfare state if FBR could be straightened in real meanings.

As per FBR Official Data, WHT only accounts for 41% of all tax collection (FY-2020-21)

The Lion’s share is Direct & Sales Taxation.

The very first step towards any welfare state is Justice that requires Governance and Equality (doesnt take money to implement it) rest are all after that.
