(Update Sep 24, 2024): The Sindh government has implemented mandatory biometric verification for vehicle registration and transfer to enhance transparency and reduce fraud within the Excise Department. Sindh Excise Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon outlined a phased rollout:
- Phase 1 : Biometric verification is required for registering new vehicles.
- Phase 2 : Verification will be necessary for vehicle purchases.
- Phase 3: Both buyers and sellers must undergo biometric verification.
Citizens can complete the verification process at NADRA e-facilitation centers or local district excise offices.
Driving License Fee September 2024
The fee for Car and Motor Cycle driving license stands unchanged so far as fee for the document with three year validity stands at PKR 1,410 while the fee for five-year validity would be PKR 1,860.
Other Fixed Fee Charges For License
(Update Dec 21, 2020): The Sindh Excise and Taxation Department now allows people to carry out online vehicle verification in Sindh through the Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) number of the vehicle owner.
All you need to do is visit the official website of the excise and taxation department and click on ‘Online Vehicle Verification by CNIC.’ Once you are redirected to a new page, select the type of vehicle and enter your 13-digit CNIC number in the relevant field.
This new Sindh vehicle verification system has been introduced to further facilitate the car owners residing in the province.
