Dastan-e-Khusro
Do you enjoy ghazal and qawwali? Or are you a fan of Amir Khusro’s poetry? If so, you should check out this event taking place in the iconic Lahore Fort, one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Walled City of Lahore.
Organized by the Walled City of Lahore Authority, ‘Dastan-e-Khusro’ is a one-day event honouring the legacy of Amir Khusro – a mystic and poet who introduced the concept ghazal’ in the sub-continent, started qawwali and invented musical instruments such as tabla and sitar.
Dastan-e-Khusro will feature qawwalis and Sufi songs by the well-known Niazi Brothers, sitar performance and a storytelling session led by renowned Badar Khan. Light refreshments will also be served to the attendees during the event.
The event will take place on Nov. 1. If interested, you can get the tickets from the Walled City of Lahore Authority Office on Lawrence Road.

3rd National Young Leaders Summit
The 3rd National Young Leader Summit, which will see a number of aspiring young leaders from all across the country make their way to Lahore, will be held on Nov. 2 in Johar Town.
The conference has been organized by a youth development society named LAGAN. It aims to facilitate the leaders of tomorrow by providing them with a platform to enhance their team building, communication, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills among others.
A number of renowned trainers and speakers will also be a part of the 3rd National Young Leader Summit.
Moreover, the organizers are also offering accommodation options to outstation delegates. Participants arriving from other cities can avail the offer by paying PKR 2500 for a one-night stay in Lahore.
The age limit for participating in the summit is between 18 and 30.

UOL Innovation Olympiad ’19
Whether you are interested in entrepreneurship, computer science, engineering or health care, you can register your team and showcase some innovative ideas during the upcoming Innovation Olympiad in Lahore.
The University of Lahore is bringing onboard a large number of for its highly-anticipated event, which has been scheduled to take place from Nov. 2 to Nov 4. The modules include web development, circuit designing, graphic designing, propeller car, mobile app development, speed programming, business case study and sustainability idea among others. Delegates can also pay a small fee to participate in fun-filled social activities such as a concert, cultural night and dinner.
The UOL Innovation Olympiad ’19 is being organized in collaboration with Lift Pakistan, JumpStart Pakistan and the Office of Clubs and Societies.

Lahore Eat 2019
Lahore is considered a citadel for food lovers in Pakistan. Though greatly influenced by Mughal cuisine, the food culture of Lahore has rapidly evolved over the past few decades. So, if you really want to get immersed in the diversity of flavours and enjoy a range of cuisines all in one place, you should consider heading over to Jillani Park for Lahore Eat 2019.
The three-day food festival will kick off from Nov. 8 and welcome foodies from all across the city for a memorable experience of food and entertainment.

Sufi Night
Hum Mashal-e-Rah is the first-of-its-kind organization in Pakistan that is working towards spreading awareness about children with special needs while providing resources and assistance to their families. On Nov. 15, the non-profit is organizing a grand fundraising Sufi Night in the heart of Lahore.
The musical event in Lahore will feature renowned Sufi musicians and performers, including popular Pakistani folk and Sufi singer Sanam Marvi and qawwal Sher Miandad, among others.
Yet another event offering a qawwali night in Lahore this month, Sufi Night will be held at the open-air Al-Hamra Cultural Complex. So, if you enjoy Sufi music and want to help raise money for these kids, you might want to check out this fundraising event.

Faiz International Festival
The Faiz International Festival will celebrate the life and works of late Urdu poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz from Nov. 15 to Nov. 17 at Al-Hamra Arts Council in Lahore. Organized by Faiz Ghar under the banner of the Faiz Foundation Trust, it will mark the 5th anniversary of the literary festival.
The event will feature literary discussions, musical evenings, theatre performances, art exhibitions, film screenings and much more. Some of the main features of Faiz International Festival include an evening with renowned Pakistani actor and producer Zia Mohyeddin, Kathak performance by Farah Yasmeen, a musical performance by singer Ali Sethi, and a recital by pianist Asad Anees and actor Adeel Hashmi.

Bhatti Gate Heritage Street Tour
Once an imperial city at the centre of the Mughal Empire, Lahore is home to a number of historical places that remind one of the opulence of Mughal emperors and those who came after them.
If you love history and have an interest in exploring the cultural heritage of Lahore, you can join a group of likeminded people for a guided tour in the Walled City. Named the ‘Guided Tour to the Heritage Street of Bhatti Gate,’ this event will take place on Nov. 17. As per the event’s social media page, there are only limited seats available for booking and no tickets will be sold at the spot.
The participants of the walking tour will get a chance to see the residences of notable laureates, artists, musicians of the Mughal era.
