The capital administration of Islamabad has launched a verification system for the real estate buyers where they can confirm the legal status and approvals of a residential scheme in the city. The newly launched Property Verification Centre was inaugurated by Hamza Shafqaat, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad. The system has been launched to prevent illegal buying and selling of properties that are disputed or unapproved to ensure the safety of the buyer’s investment.
Let’s take a deeper look into the initiative and see how it works and who will benefit from it.
Property Verification Centre
The launch of the Property Verification Centre is a step in the right direction which will empower citizens to verify the properties they want to invest in. A lot of illegal and unapproved housing societies have been made in and around Islamabad that attract buyers. People residing in other cities and overseas Pakistanis are usually the victims of such land frauds and some of these projects don’t even fall in the jurisdiction of Islamabad.
This initiative is a joint venture of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the capital administration to facilitate real estate buyers regarding the status of a project. A new portal has been created that maintains the information of all the approved and legal projects of CDA and capital administration.
Every real estate investor wants to get good returns on their investment and higher annual rental yields. Such hard-to-ignore incentives, along with other attractive amenities in fraudulent schemes, lure buyers and the safety of their investment is compromised. While the CDA already has several measures in place to help people in this regard, the newly launched platform is much more efficient, hassle-free and takes less time.
How To Request For Property Verification
With the launch of the Property Verification Centre, it has now become easier for real estate buyers to check housing schemes and real estate projects that have been verified by the Deputy Commissioner’s office, approved and declared legal as per the laws of the country.
The real estate buyer needs to get a form from the DC Office and fill in all the required information. The form needs to be submitted at the office and it only takes 24 hours for the office to get back to the inquirer with all the legal information about any property. The process is free of cost for anyone who wishes to verify a property they intend to buy and soon the facility will be made available for overseas Pakistanis as well.
Need Of Property Verification Centre
Scams in real estate are not new but with time, buyers have found ways to protect themselves against fraudulent schemes. That said, one can’t be too careful. Things can get even more complicated if you’re planning to invest in another city or, let’s say, you’re an overseas Pakistani who cannot physically be present to check the legal status of a property and verify it.
The Property Verification Centre is the most needed service for such buyers so that they can make an informed real estate investment that is transparent and safe.
Real estate scams also include marketing and advertising properties that are based outside the city’s jurisdiction but the owners claim to be a part of it. This is where the Property Verification Centre will prove to be effective.
