Launched by the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports in 2016, the e-Services Portal offers extreme convenience to all Overseas Pakistanis as they no longer need to visit their nearest embassy or consulate for passport renewal. Here’s all you need to know about the process of passport renewal online, including the documents required for renewing your passport and the fees for passport renewal.
About the e-Services Portal
With the e-Services Portal, the process of renewing a Pakistani passport is now quick and convenient, with the entire application being completed in 16.5 minutes from anywhere in the world, as long as you have internet connectivity. The process of online passport renewal includes three steps:
- Register on the portal by creating an account, using your email address and cell phone number as verification
- Pay the fee using your Debit or Credit card
- Submit the application form after filling it, verifying it, and uploading all of your required documents, photographs, and fingerprints

Documents Required for Passport Renewal Online
For Adults (18+)
You will need the following documents to renew your Pakistani passport, which is officially termed as a Machine Readable Passport:
- Scanned copy of valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) – Must be a coloured copy of both sides
- Coloured and scanned copy of current Pakistani passport – First two pages and any one random page as requested)
- Scanned copy of valid visa/residence permit/iqama – Must be a coloured copy
For Minors (Below the Age of 18)
If you are renewing a Pakistani passport for a minor, you will need the following documents:
- Scanned copy of NICOP, Computerised B-Form, or Family Registration Certificate (FRC) – Coloured copy of both sides
- Copies of valid CNIC or NICOP of both parents – Copies must be coloured and of both sides
- A Guardianship Certificate in case of separation of parents
- Coloured and scanned copy of Death Certificate if either parent has passed away
- Scanned copy of valid visa/iqama/residence permit – Coloured
How to Apply for a Passport Renewal Online?
Want to renew your Pakistani passport online? Follow the steps given below:
- Visit the e-Services Portal page as shown in the image above
- Create a new account or log in with an existing Pak Identity account
- Fill in the application form
- Provide a delivery address
- Pay the fee as requested via a Credit or Debit card
- Recheck the information given in the form
- Upload your photograph, supporting documents, and fingerprints
- Submit the application

Online Pakistani Passport Renewal Fees
The passport renewal fees must be paid online via a Debit or Credit card. Please note that PKR 2,500 is applicable to all passport renewals as service charges. Home delivery of the document is also charged extra. Check out the cost of passport renewal online below.

Please note that you can only apply for the renewal of your Pakistani passport if it has already expired or is about to expire within the next 7 months.
