Update (July 30, 2021): Pakistan has received 162 mobile ventilator units as a gift from the Government of Canada. The portable ventilators were gifted to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in a high-profile event that took place on July 29, 2021.
The event was attended by the Chairman NDMA Lt. Gen. Akhtar Nawaz, the Canadian High Commissioner Wendy Glamor, and the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan among other important personalities.
While addressing the occasion, Dr. Faisal Sultan expressed his gratitude to the Canadian Government for helping Pakistan in these tough times by providing mobile ventilators. He also appreciated the role NDMA is playing in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
