The incumbent government has taken more than a few steps to make the citizens of Pakistan self-sufficient through multiple programmes, such as PM Imran Khan’s Kamyab Jawan Programme. The initiative was launched to provide people, especially youth, with skill development training in order to make them qualified for better job opportunities. These efforts will then in return reflect on the economic development of the country. Quite recently, the government has launched another programme, “National Employment Exchange Tool aka NEXT,” under Kamyab Jawan Programme to provide job seekers with a reliable national job portal where they can connect with employers, based on their skill set.
What Is NEXT?
National Employment Exchange Tool (NEXT) is a job portal launched by the Federal Government through the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) where skilled job seekers can find jobs matching their talents and requirements. Youth can find jobs in the government, overseas and private sectors by using filters or combing through all the jobs available. Different government departments and private organizations are registered at the portal and the list will continue to grow.
The NEXT programme not only helps job seekers in finding a job but also serves as a platform where employers can also connect with potential candidates. Being a national portal, NEXT is a credible and reliable platform to facilitate both employers and job seekers free of cost.
How does NEXT Work?
It is a user-friendly portal for job seekers as well as employers. Designed for job seekers, the portal has all the features found in premium private job portals. The employers just need to advertise the open vacancy at their organization and it will be visible to all the job seekers. The job seekers need to register at the portal and they will be able to use the following features completely free of any charges.
- The applicants can build their resumes outlining their skills, expertise and achievements
- The applicants can select from a number of skills already present in the system
- The portal allows both the job seeker and employer to share information to their social media accounts
