23rd March is a day that makes us all proud of our identity – it is a day where we remember our heroes, the ones who struggled for our freedom, and gave us a separate homeland where we can live our lives peacefully and according to our wishes. As far as our national heroes are concerned, Pakistan doesn’t only have the world’s bravest army, but our youngsters have also left their marks on various fields of life.

Largest Volunteer Ambulance Organisation
The first entry on our list of world records held by Pakistan is the Edhi Foundation – an establishment by the country’s most loved, admired, and respected humanitarian, Abdul Sattar Edhi. Established in 1951 as a small shelter home for the helpless and needy people in Karachi’s heart – Kharadar – the social welfare organisation now has 300 centres across the county.
Edhi dedicated his whole life to making the world a better place to live and helped people relentlessly without any discrimination of gender, age, race, or religion. With this dedication and hard work, the Pakistani establishment, which was founded single-handedly around seven decades ago, now wears the tag of the world’s largest volunteer ambulance network.

Youngest Test Player (Cricket)
In 1996, Hassan Raza bagged the title of the youngest test player at the age of 14 years and 227 days and ever since nobody has been able to break this remarkable record. The youngest test player from Pakistan created an international impression by playing his first test against Zimbabwe in Faisalabad.
In his entire career of test matches, Raza played around 7 test matches and scored a total of 235 runs.
Youngest Microsoft Certified Professionals
In our list of world records by Pakistan, the third entry is of Arfa Karim and Ayan Qureshi. Both of these individuals made us proud by representing Pakistan in the field of Information Technology.
In 2004, Arfa bagged the title of youngest Microsoft Certified Professional at the age of nine, while Ayan Qureshi broke the national as well as international record at the age of just five in 2014. Setting one of the most important world records in Pakistan’s history, Ayan Qureshi, however, lives in the United Kingdom, but his origins are from Pakistan.
Youngest Nobel Laureate
The most important entry in our list of world records held by Pakistan is Malala Yousufzai – one of the amazing women in Pakistan.
On 10th October 2014, Malala Yousufzai received the Nobel Peace Prize. The prize was given as a recognition of her relentless efforts for the education of children. The young Pakistani has also made us all proud on several other occasions. Malala won the hearts of Pakistanis everywhere by becoming the world’s youngest Nobel laureate.
First Female Muslim Prime Minister of the World
Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto has also made it to our list of world records by Pakistan.
In 1988, Benazir Bhutto became the first female prime minister of Pakistan and the Muslim world. She served in this position from 1988 to 1990 and again from 1993 to 1996. It also made her the first woman to lead a Muslim-majority country in the world.
Fastest Time to Wire a Plug
In 2012, the government of Punjab arranged a festival named Punjab Youth Festival, which was attended by an official of Guinness World Record. The month-long programme was filled with sports activities and tournaments, craft competitions, and exhibitions.
The festival gave a chance to many young Pakistani individuals to showcase their unique talents, and some of them mastered it. One out of those exceptionally talented individuals was Mian Nouman Anjum.
This gifted individual inspired the official by beating the fastest time to wire a plug within 35.93 seconds – which makes him the only person to set this record to this date.
Fastest Time to Make 3 Chapatis
In the same event as mentioned above, Mohammad Masha – the head chef at the National Stadium of Pakistan – set an unbreakable record of making 3 chapatis within 3 minutes, 14.98 seconds to be exact.
Looking at the exceptional talents in the country, the official from Guinness World Record Gaz Deaves said, “It’s always a great pleasure to see a group of people take to record-breaking in such a big way, and the Punjab Youth Festival was a brilliant example of how attempting to be the best in the world at something can be a positive influence on everyone. Here’s hoping we get the chance to go back to Pakistan soon.”

- The Karakoram Highway in Pakistan is the world’s highest paved international artery.
- The world’s largest deep-sea port is situated in Gwadar – a city in Balochistan.
- The largest man-made forest in the world is Changa Manga, which is located in Punjab, Pakistan.
- Besides having a powerful army, Pakistan is also the first Islamic country to achieve nuclear power.
- Pakistan has the world’s largest factories for producing sports goods. Owing to this, about 50 percent of the footballs in the world are manufactured in the country.
- As per a poll organised in 125 countries in the world by the Institute of European Business Administration, Pakistanis have been ranked the fourth most intelligent people. The poll also suggested that the country has the world’s seventh-largest collection of scientists and engineers.
- Islamabad is one of the safest capitals in the world, marked safer than Amsterdam, Berlin, Sydney, and Paris. Not just that, provincial capitals such as Lahore and Karachi were also marked safer than some of the most visited cities in the world.
