Kidney Hill Solar Park
Located on an organ-shaped hill, Kidney Hill Park, aka Ahmed Ali Park, is one of the lesser-known tourist attractions in Karachi. Despite being located in the same vicinity, it has never been as famous as Hill Park. Rising 219 feet high, Kidney Hill marks the highest point in the urban landscape of Karachi, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the city skyline.
If you are looking for a spot to get close to nature and spend some quality time with your family, then Kidney Hill would be an ideal place to visit. Now, let’s learn more about this picturesque ‘hilly oasis’ in the bustling metropolis of Karachi.
More About Location of Kidney Hill Park in Karachi
Kidney Hill Park is one of the most centrally located urban open spaces in the City of Lights. It is directly connected to Haider Ali Road in Kokan Housing Society. It sits just a short stroll away from Umer Sharif Underpass on Shaheed-i-Millat Road.
Kidney Hill is also in proximity to Hill Park, which has always remained among the most visited family attractions in Karachi. Both of these parks are a part of a serene residential neighbourhood in the heart of the city.

Natural Features of Kidney Hill Park
The little-known Ahmed Ali Park in Karachi has lately been transformed into an urban forest. In recent years, the place has become an epicentre of tree plantations. In a bid to make this amenity space greener and more nature-friendly, many public and private organisations have carried out plantation initiatives.
Also, after the recent monsoon season, the entire place is now covered in lush greenery and has become more beautiful than ever before. All those green trees with a backdrop of unique hilly formations and the flag of Pakistan hoisted at the highest point of the park offer an awe-inspiring experience.
Facilities at Ahmed Ali Park
The park is overlooked and maintained by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC). There is a dedicated staff taking care of planted trees and other horticulture features of the recreational place. There are multiple entrances to the park, but only one is accessible. It is to minimise the level of disturbance from visitors since the surrounding area is a residential neighbourhood.
While exploring the park, you would come across a wide walkway, having plants and trees on both sides. The place is also dotted with benches and seating arrangements. There is also a short hiking trail and a few rocky stairs with the help of which you can access different levels of the park. Kidney Hill also has a parking lot right next to the entrance.
Timings of Kidney Hill Park
The park stays open from 7 am to sunset, all seven days a week.
Is there any Entry Fee?
Not yet. Entry to the park is absolutely free.
