The scheme, which was announced during Prime Minister Imran Khan’s day-long visit to the Sahiwal district in Punjab, aims to provide farmers with technical and financial assistance to help them overcome the shortage of resources.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Sahiwal on Friday to distribute tractors and checks among the young people who are qualified to get loan for livestock sector[under the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme],” Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar stated in a video message recorded last week. “As you know, agriculture [sector] works as a backbone of the country’s economy that is why the farmers are being given access to all the resources.”
He had also added that farmers who are lagging behind due to the lack of equipment, plants and tractors would become a part of the scheme that will lead them to achieve success in the agricultural sector.
