If you are looking to construct a home in Lahore, Jubilee Town is one of the options that can be considered. It is a project of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) near Multan Road. Genuine buyers love infrastructural developments and the project is located right next to some of the most fantastic developments in the city.
Launched in 1998, some of Lahore’s most popular housing schemes are located nearby including Izmir Town, Punjab Government Servant Housing Scheme, LDA Avenue, and Bahria Town. COMSATS and the Lahore campus of the University of Sargodha are not far either.
The cherry on top: Jubilee Town Lahore has the Fatima Jinnah Institute of Dental Science, while Indus Hospital Punjab is easily accessible too. According to Farhan Ali of Lahore Properties, there are three or four schools in the housing scheme and one of these is a campus of the Allied School System.
Here’s the latest from the housing scheme:
Developments in the project
Jubilee Town offers 3-marla, 5-marla, 7-marla, 10-marla, and 1-kanal plots. Development is complete and possession is available throughout the housing scheme. All the utilities are available and the streets – which are at least 30 feet wide, while the main boulevard is 150 feet – are complete. However, still more work needs to be done as the parks and mosques still need to be constructed even though the land is allotted for them.
Construction of houses has also begun and a number of families have already moved there. According to Ali, the families that have already moved there have everything they may need since the housing scheme has an active commercial area including two plazas and semi-commercial houses along the 150-feet road being used for commercial purposes. Finally, Jinnah Mall located in Izmir Town is not far either.
Price Trends
While the prices had decreased slightly last year, they have been pretty much stable for more than half a year, according to Ali. This is to be expected since investors don’t play a particularly active role in the housing scheme and prices rise or fall very minutely. Below are the prices as they currently stand:
Plot Size | Prices in PKR |
3 marla | 2,800,000—3,300,000 |
5 marla | 3,900,000—5,500,000 |
7 marla | 4,000,000—5,500,000 |
10 marla | 5,000,000—8,000,000 |
1 kanal | 8,000,000—20,000,000 |
Should you consider Jubilee Town?
One of the factors that make the housing scheme a fantastic place to consider is affordability of prices. Jubilee Town has a commercial area and a good location which make it more than worthy of the prices of its plots.
Moreover, considering that the market has been slow and stable for a while the prices are rather low, so Ali felt that if anyone is looking to construct house in Jubilee Town, now is the time to buy a plot for that.
