The Islamabad Capital Territory Administration, shortened as ICT Administration, is a federal agency. It oversees all administrative and law and order concerns in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), which is a federal territory in Pakistan and is exclusively under the jurisdiction of the federal government. About Islamabad Capital Territory Administration
The Islamabad Capital Territory Administration, also known as the Islamabad Administration and the ICTA, is the civil administrative agency in the capital. It is also the primary law and order authority in Islamabad. The ICTA oversees the working of 6 directorates and 25 departments. The organisation functions under the leadership of the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad.
As the person commanding the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration and its functions, the Chief Commissioner must perform several administrative tasks with the help of various directorates. The Chief Commissioner is assisted in this task by a Deputy Commissioner, who is appointed to address everyday administrative tasks in the federal territory of Islamabad. The Chief Commissioner is also responsible for assigning Directors to each directorate under his command so that the working of each one can be monitored daily.
Directorates of the ICTA
