- Tuck wires away in a cabinet
Let’s further these tips on how to hide electrical cords on the floor and wall.
Tie the Wires Together with a Zip-Tie
The first, and probably the easiest, way to organize all the wires and cords hanging from your TV or lying under your desk is to neatly tie them together. For this purpose, you can use zip-ties. Just secure all the wires with these zip cords and place them behind the nearest piece of furniture. You can also install multiple receptacle outlets somewhere out of sight to plug in different wires at the same time.
Hook Wires to the Back of Your Furniture
The sight of cords dangling from your wall-mounted flat-screen TV can make your home disorganized and untidy. One of the hide TV wires without cutting a wall is to hide them behind the nearest piece of furniture.
Wondering how to go about it?
Well, to effectively hide electrical cords in the living room or other parts of your home, you can glue either medium or large-sized cord clips to the back edges of the furniture. Let the adhesive dry for about an hour and then hook as many wires and cords through these clips as possible to have them neatly run across the back of the furniture to the electric socket, completely out of sight.
Hide the Power Strip
Power strips, also referred to as wire extensions, can create a lot of clutter if they are lying on the floor with multiple wires attached to them. They also pose a tripping hazard. Therefore, you should consider hiding them from the view to make your space neater and safer.
Most power strips have holes on the back, which means you can even hang them on the wall with only a few nails or screws. You can also install these power strips below the base of your computer table, desk or media centre.
Put Wires and Cords in a Basket
Another way to hide electrical cords in the middle of a room is to hide them in a basket.
All you’ll need to do is buy a trendy wicker basket and place it right under the TV stand or your computer table. Then take all the wires and cords, tie them together and string them through the back end of the basket.
Problem solved!
Tuck Wires Away in a Cabinet or Drawers
Routers, charging stations, and other small devices may be an important part of your daily life but they are certainly not pretty to look at. Therefore, if you want your media centre and desks to be free of all the visual clutter, hide all the unsightly wires inside the cabinet or a drawer of your sideboard. If needed, drill a hole at the back of the furniture for the wires to pass through.
This is easily one of the most creative ways to hide TV cords.
