The system of Karachi Traffic Police is constantly improving, which is to ensure transparency and more effective management. Despite constantly increasing traffic density, people now find it more convenient to move around the city. It is mainly because Karachi Traffic Police are now actively managing their social media handles and a Radio Station: FM 88.6 to give live traffic updates, informing drivers and passengers about the best routes for their trips to avoid unnecessary delays.
In a recent development, the traffic police department of the megacity in collaboration with the provincial government has gone the extra mile to serve the general public. They have announced free car repair services for rainy weather, which is undoubtedly an unprecedented initiative.

More About Free Car Repair Service By Karachi Traffic Police
All necessary arrangements have been made to facilitate and help out people stuck in the middle of the road with their broken-down vehicles during the monsoon season.
According to Karachi Traffic Police Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ahmed Cheema, a fleet of 26 vehicles will be patrolling the city to provide the citizens with free vehicle repair services. This patrolling service will help out cars, bikes and other types of vehicles, which are either stuck on the road due to a technical fault or an empty fuel tank.
“In case a vehicle stops moving, two litres of petrol would be provided to the car owners and half a litre to the motorcycle owners for the vehicles to reach the nearest petrol pump and to prevent traffic jams,” stated the DIG Traffic Police Karachi.
Reportedly, five out of 26 vehicles have been deployed on Shahrah-e-Faisal, five would cover the district South including Saddar Town, Clifton and DHA, and three would be patrolling the district East, while the rest of the vehicles would take care of different areas including University Road and other major expressways.

The traffic police department is offering the following services:
- Fixing punctures and reinflating tires
- Towing a car
- Helping to jump-start a car
- Putting out vehicle fires
- Providing fuel to cars and bikes that have an empty fuel tank
- All the other basic fixes and repairs are covered
