As per the latest updates on Faisalabad Ring Road, the project is going to be developed with a total cost of PKR 400 billion. It is going to be a mega-scale construction, which will involve paving of a 70-kilometre-long multilane road, circling the entire city.
With multiple interchanges all around it, the road is going to be linked with all the major roads and motorways running in and around Faisalabad. Multan-Pindi Bhattian M4 Motorway, which is an important part of the network of motorways in Pakistan, also runs nearby, and is going to be linked with the soon-to-be-developed circular ring road in Faisalabad.
According to General Muhammad Sohail Khawaja, the director of the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA), the planning of the project is in full swing and the development work on it is soon to be initiated. He further stated that upon completion, this freeway would facilitate commuters by cutting down the distance of hours into minutes.
Moreover, the Faisalabad Ring Road will provide a direct road connection between all the major industrial units in the city and the nearest limited-access roads and freeways. Along with making transportation of goods easier than ever, the circular ring road in Faisalabad has also been planned to feature special economic zones alongside to significantly promote commercial activities in the region.
Industries like pharmaceutical, textile, and agriculture are expected to benefit from all these developments. The planned dryland port near the city of Faisalabad is expected to convert the region into one of the biggest commercial hubs in Pakistan, thus benefiting the ongoing China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.

The map of Faisalabad Ring Road hasn’t been rolled out officially yet. However, keeping in view the general construction practices followed for a freeway like a ring road, the project is expected to be mapped out to surround the entire city and connect all of its important areas.
