All main roads, 25 feet wide, in sectors A, B, C, D, N and M have been carpeted and now work is moving towards a major 80 feet wide road in sectors M and N. Plots in sectors A and B are of 1 kanal only, and development charges have been announced. However, as a concession, those people who complete the construction of their house before November 2021 will have a chance to get a refund on their development charges. Sectors C and D have plots of 10 marla only, and development charges have been levied on home buyers looking to settle here, whereas in sectors E and F no such charges have been announced as yet.
Engineer Javed believes 2020 was a good year for development in DHA Bahawalpur as most of the development took place following June. This has caused property rates in DHA Bahawalpur to go up, and people are now able to sell their properties on profit, especially villas which are getting profits of:
6 marla: 15-20 lakh
9 marla: 20-25 lakh
12 marla: 35 lakh and above
Engineer Nouman Mahboob Malik of Liberty Estate and Builders concurred with Javed and added electricity will be provided soon throughout the sectors, apart from the villas. Electricity grid station is also to be constructed soon, by the first half of this year. However, water and gas connections have already been installed and working round-the-clock. He has also observed that prices are rising, and while 2020 saw the most rapid development, 2021 will see the housing society being lived in and allowing people to gain profits.
