The management of DHA Bahawalpur is passionate about sports and makes all-out efforts to support and promote the scope of local sporting events. It is one of the key reasons why DHA Bahawalpur actively collaborates with the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) to organise the International Jeep Rally each year as its chief sponsor. 

Hosted in Pakistan’s very famous Cholistan desert, it has become an internationally acclaimed dirt racing competition in recent years — mainly featuring 4X4 vehicles and sports bikes.

Mark Your Calendars for International Jeep Rally 2022!

Motor racing fans around the world are eagerly waiting for the 17th edition of the International Jeep Rally, which is all set to take place from February 10-13, 2022. The countdown to the event has already begun, so mark your calendars if you don’t want to miss the excitement. There will be a grand opening ceremony of the event on February 8, 2022 at Derawar Fort in the Cholistan desert.

More About Cholistan Desert Rally

The very first Cholistan Desert Rally was organised in 2005. With increasing popularity year after year, it has now transformed into a globally famous sports event, which is enjoyed and appreciated by motor racing enthusiasts and adrenaline junkies all over the world.

The event is participated by hundreds of professional off-road racers from all over the world including American, British and Iranian nationals. Owing to the growing number of female racers participating in this adventurous event, it now has a separate category for women. 

The route of this desert rally in Pakistan now covers up to 500 kilometres, encompassing a large part of the scenic Cholistan Desert — one of the world’s largest deserts. The route also touches almost all the major forts of the desert, namely Dingarh Fort, Marrot Fort, Khan Garh, Bhijnot Fort, Moujgarh Fort, and Jamgarh Fort.

What to Expect from the International Jeep Rally in 2022?

Facilities like a photo gallery, selfie point and food court will be available at the racing venue. Moreover, a special camp will also be set up to facilitate the valued investors and guests of DHA Bahawalpur.

International Jeep Rally 2022 is a grand-scale off-road racing event that will be attended by high-profile government and armed forces officials. The chief guests at the rally will be the Chief Minister and Governor of Punjab as well as the regional Corps Commander.
