While top real estate players in Lahore, focus on one end of the Canal Road, the area at the other end, i.e. towards Jallo and Bata Pur, has seen the introduction of many projects that mainly target genuine buyers. The area around Bata Pur and Jallo is becoming populated quickly, as gated communities continue to pop up.
Bismillah Housing Scheme is one such project. It caters to Lahore’s ever-expanding housing demands in an affordable way.
Fitting location
The project is located along GT Road, opposite Bata Factory in Bata Pur. It is located quite close to DHA Lahore, and since Lahore Ring Road is just 5 kilometres away, the rest of the city is easily accessible as well.
Wide options in residential plots
The plot sizes starts from 3 marla and go up to 1 kanal. The availability of smaller plots is appropriate for the mid-income segment of the market.
Following are the approximate ranges for the plot prices:
Plot Size | Price |
3 marla | PKR 1,500,000 – PKR 2,000,000 |
4 marla | PKR 2,400,000 – PKR 2,600,000 |
5 marla | PKR 3,000,000 – PKR 3,600,000 |
8 marla | PKR 4,000,000 – PKR 4,500,000 |
10 marla | PKR 3,700,000 – PKR 6,000,000 |
1 kanal | PKR 7,500,000 – PKR 10,000,000 |
On-ground developments
Such is the location of the projects that basic facilities like hospital, schools and shopping centres etc. are nearby. In Blocks A, B and C, possession of plots is available and development work is almost complete. Roads have been constructed and a sewerage system is in place. Moreover, electricity is also available.
In these areas, houses have already been constructed on roughly 70% of the plots. There is a water-filtration plant that ensures the supply of clean water for residents. However, gas isn’t available yet.
In rest of the blocks, development work is ongoing so that possession can be given there as well.
Upward trend in prices
Despite a relative slowdown in the overall real estate market, in the past six months, prices here have gone up steadily. This is because there is genuine demand for plots and plot owners are quickly constructing their homes. Another reason is the fact that the developer has provided possession in a timely manner, increasing investor confidence in this project.
Where will prices go?
The upward trend in prices is expected to continue in coming months. The population of the society will continuously rise as possession is being given in more and more areas. Thus, it is a lucrative option for investors. A future development that will further help the residents is the completion of Orange Line Metro Train, whose last station at Dera Gujran is just 5 kilometres away from Bismillah Housing Society. Overall, the development has all the right ingredients needed to attract genuine buyers. This demand will only increase in the times to come.
What is your opinion regarding the future prospects of this project? Will the prices continue to go up in future or have they completely maxed out? Have your say in the comments section below.

Please reply.
Bismillah Housing Society is home to a number of people. It is an old project and back then, the TMA approved housing societies in their respective areas. In terms of location, Bismillah is better. You might wont find the other option feasible at the moment.
