Jheel Park
Jheel Park, also known as Society Jheel Park, is a public park constructed on 25 acres. It is also one of the oldest public parks in Karachi, situated in the area of PECHS near Tariq Road. It is known as Jheel Park because it is located at a site of a former lake, a ‘jheel’ in Urdu.
This park was renovated in 2008 and captivating horticulture features were added to it. Jheel Park has proper lighting arrangements to facilitate people visiting the park at night. It’s a great place to walk, jog or just take in some fresh air.

Hill Park
Covering an area of 62 acres, Hill Park is known as one of the biggest parks in the city. It offers a tranquil environment to the visitors and has one of the largest walking tracks in Karachi. It is also an iconic urban green space in the metropolis that offers jogging, walking tracks and plenty of other recreational activities.
As the name suggests, Hill Park is located on a hilltop, allowing people to enjoy the panoramic views of the city skyline. It is a delightful place that features trees, benches, tuck shops, and a pond with ducks and swans, which is also one of the park’s main attractions. Hill Park also hosts Fun City amusement park, which is counted among the best theme parks in Karachi.

Zamzama Park
Zamzama Park is located near the Zamzama commercial area, which is one of the best commercial areas in DHA Karachi. This park covers 26 acres of land and has a walking track over 1000 metres long, probably one of the longest walking tracks in Karachi. Located in an upscale locale, Zamzama Park attracts visitors from all around Karachi.

Nisar Shaheed Park
Nisar Shaheed Park is one of the largest public parks in Karachi. It is located in DHA Phase 4, Karachi. With a trail stretching to 1000 metres, Nisar Shaheed Park is also popular for having one of the longest walking and jogging tracks in Karachi. Due to its conveniently accessible location, it has become an ultimate leisure spot, especially for both the residents of DHA and outsiders.
The park remains crowded during the evening hours, mostly on weekends. Just as you enter this park, you will be greeted by a beautiful fountain. Nisar Shaheed Park also provides facilities like swings for children, and tuck shops right at the entrance. Moreover, the urban open space also shares boundaries with Chunky Monkey, one of the kids’ favourite places in Karachi.

Hilal Park
Hilal Park is more like a small green sanctuary found in the locality of Phase 6 DHA Karachi. It is a very well-maintained place having a jogging/walking route that is more than half a kilometre long. The park is also known for its extraordinary horticulture features and has a wide collection of different types of flowers and plants. Offering the very best of nature and a breath of fresh air away from the hustle and bustle of main roads, many people find it an extremely desirable place to unwind.
Facilities in Hill Park include public toilets, a drinking water dispenser and an entrance to a masjid located right adjacent to the walking track. Since this urban green space is situated on uneven land, there are some hilly formations right in the middle of the park, some of which also have benches. You can climb one of them to enjoy views of the park from above. All these features make it one of the most scenic public parks in Karachi. On top of that, the park also hosts a flower exhibition in the spring season each year.

Bin Qasim Park
Bin Qasim Park, also known as Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim, is one of the most beautiful seaside gardens in the megacity. Covering an area of 130 acres, it is known to be the largest public park in Karachi. Bin Qasim Park is situated near Clifton beach, aka Sea View Beach. Upon your visit to Bin Qasim Park, you can easily follow your fitness regime and take advantage of one of the longest jogging tracks in Karachi.
This park was actually constructed in the late 2000s and was renovated and re-inaugurated more than two years ago by then Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. With spectacular lighting arrangements, Bin Qasim Park comes to life at night. Touring this well-maintained and family-friendly seaside park is one of the best things to do in Karachi with kids.

Khalid Shaheed Park (aka Creek Park)
Let’s take a look at another noteworthy recreation spot located along the coast. Khalid Shaheed Park, also known as Creek Park, is an extremely beautiful public park in Karachi. Located on Zulfiqar Street in DHA Phase 8, this place is found right next to the Savors Restaurant, which is a place famous for its food and boating facilities. The place is also a short drive away from Karachi’s very famous Do Darya restaurants.
Offering a jogging/walking track by the sea, it turns out to be an ideal place for fitness freaks to visit. Children also love visiting this because of the availability of a children’s play area with slides, swings and seesaws. Owing to its unique location in an upscale and serene locality, Khalid Shaheed Park is also crowded mostly during the weekend with people coming in from all over the city.

Polo Ground (aka Bagh-e-Quaid-e-Azam)
Polo Ground, which is now also known as Bagh-e-Quaid-e-Azam, is another historic park in the city. With the recent upgrades, it has been converted into one of the most delightful outdoor attractions in the city. The green space spans around 20 acres and is dotted with shaded seating arrangements, tall light poles, amazing horticulture features, and over 2-km-long jogging and walking tracks, among other recreational features.
The unique location of Bagh-e-Quaid-e-Azam puts it just a short distance away from II Chundrigar Road, the city’s most popular business district located in Saddar Town. Upon your visit to the park, you would be delighted by the beautiful views of the skyline of Karachi because the park is surrounded by mid-rise and high-rise buildings, including the very famous PC Hotel.
