Naval Anchorage Islamabad, a project by Pakistan Navy, was established to accommodate its officers. It is located in Sihala and has its main entrance on Islamabad Expressway, which is currently being expanded to become an eight-lane signal-free corridor that will connect Zero Point with GT Road and Rawat. In order to offer a dedicated entrance on the expressway without disturbing the traffic flow, Naval Anchorage has designed and provided funds and labour to construct the Naval Interchange. It is believed that this interchange will be inaugurated in the coming few months.
Why Naval Anchorage?

Project details
Naval Anchorage comprises of Naval Anchorage Phase I and Naval Anchorage Extension, both of which are located side by side. Please note that both Phase I and Extension are completely developed with property possession available.
Naval Anchorage Phase I has a total of seven blocks, Blocks A, B, C, D, E, F and G. On the other hand, the Extension has four blocks, i.e. J, K, L, and M. In Phase I, you can find 5-marla, 14-marla, 1-kanal and 2-kanal residential plots, while the Extension has only 1-kanal plots.
Utility services such as connections for water, electricity and gas are already available here. At the moment, construction work is in process on just a few houses in the Extension, while Phase I is around 50% inhabited.
Property rates
In Phase I, Blocks A, B and C feature 2-kanal residential plots alone. Blocks D & F have 1-, 2-kanal, while Block F features 14-marla and 1-kanal residential plots. Block G only features 5-marla residential plots.

The so called 8 lane expressway is actually a nuisance because all the traffic has to ultimately converge to pass a double lane bridge. More lanes have infact resulted in very unsafe situation while converging on the ailing bridge. The traffic situation during rush hours is pathetic. Entry to Naval Anchorage from Islamabad remains a problem in these hours.
